Learning from nature

In my previous post A wasteless world I looked at the circular economy which is inspired by the endless reuse and recycling that occurs in nature. Another nature inspired field is that of Biomimicry which is imitation of the models, systems, and elements of nature. For instance velcro is based on the hooks and loops found on the burrs of the burdock plant.
