Essential Edibles – come, share and swap

A new initiative of Sustainable Communities SA will begin on Sunday 5 September at the Joslin Reserve (between Third and Fourth Avenues, Joslin). Join in this local community activity of sharing and swapping your local produce.

Join in our URBAN ORCHARD and reduce food miles, avoid waste and get to know your local community

If you have more produce in your garden than you can possibly eat then why not share it with locals? No cash changes hands – it is all about sharing, a way to reconnect with community and mostly about generosity.

Things you may like to share and swap: fruit & vegetables: herbs; flowers; plants, seeds, cuttings & seedlings; preserves and jams. Or come along with a recipe or a story to share while we get to know each other. Bring your tea or coffee and we will meet you there.
