Essential Edibles: Sunday 4 November

Hot and sunny weather ensured a good turnout for today’s Essential Edibles Urban Orchard at Joslin Reserve.

The produce brought to swap and share included silverbeet, lemons, oranges, grapefruit, beetroot, rhubarb, lettuce, roses, seedlings, herbs, broad beans and potatoes – once again demonstrating the impressive diversity of our local food gardens.

The final Essential Edibles of 2012 will take place on Sunday 2 December beginning at 9am and will combine a food swap and an end-of-year celebration.  Attendees are encouraged to bring a plate of food to share.  Please put this date in your diary and, until then, happy growing!
