The best talk I saw at the Adelaide Festival of Ideas was that of Iain Walker from NewDemocracy.  This model has been used to solve difficult problems faced by both government and business.  If you wish to see a process which genuinely and randomly selects members of the community that a decision may impact, and, asks them to create the solutions in consultation with specialists in the field, then this is the talk for you!
