Renewable energy needs your support. The fossil fuel industry and Murdoch media have been using the South Australian blackout to make baseless attacks on clean energy once again. Even Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull jumped on the anti-renewable bandwagon.

The latest report investigating the state-wide power outage showed that extreme storms were the main cause. We know that more extreme weather is on the way as global warming takes hold and the atmosphere becomes warmer and wetter. And we know that shifting to 100% renewable power is a huge part of the solution.

Despite this, the Federal Government still has no plan for renewable energy post 2020. So we’ve made one for them – the Homegrown Power Plan.

You may have heard about the Homegrown Power Plan, but just in case you haven’t, it’s a comprehensive policy roadmap that shows how we can upgrade Australia to 100% renewable energy by 2030.

And now we’re taking the Homegrown Power Plan on tour around Australia! GetUp will be co-hosting the events with our friends at Solar Citizens, and we’d like to invite you to the first 100% Renewable Roadshow event in Adelaide.
