Reaping the benefits of vegetables gone to seed

The previous year I let several of my spinach plants go to seed – mainly because I didn’t get around to tidying up that part of the garden before they got to that stage. So I was pleasantly surprised to get a field of spinach popping up with last year’s autumn rains.
